How do I install Ubuntu Linux on to my Compaq LTE 5300 Laptop?
A few hours ago, I found my old Compaq LTE 5300 Laptop. I formatted the Hard Drive so that I could install Ubuntu Linux. The problem is that it won't boot from CD-ROM. I've looked in Computer Setup and tried to tweak a few things, but nothing seems to work.

Anyway, you could have downloaded the Wubi installer (http://www.wubi.org) and installed Ubuntu via the internet, whilst using Windows!
